Concession agreement signed on 29.10.2020 with Hoti Star - Portugal Hotéis, S.A.
The Meliá São João da Madeira, a 4-star hotel, has 93 bedrooms supported by a bar, restaurant, meeting and conference rooms, a wellness and spa with an indoor pool and gym, an outdoor pool, and surrounding garden.
The investment for the recovery of the property totaleed 16 million euros.
The hotel was classified on 5 January 2026.
On December 6, 2018, was launched the public tender for the concession of Palacete do Conde Dias Garcia, em São João da Madeira. The concession requires the execution of works, including infrastructure, and subsequent tourism operation as hotel establishment, local accommodation establishment or other project with tourist vocation, in accordance with the legislation in force.
