Castelo de Vila Nova de Cerveira
The medieval castle, with an oval floorplan and eight quadrangular towers, was built in a gothic style. In its interior, and in a reasonable state of conservation, one can find the old Governor’s House, the prison and other outbuildings, which were transformed into a hostel which was up and running from 1982 to 2008, with 29 housing units (58 beds), a restaurant, a bar and a conference room. These areas, now vacant, have all the necessary conditions for opening an accommodation establishment.
The entire property is for tourist use.
The legal model is that of concession.
