Castelo de Vila Nova de Cerveira

The medieval castle, with an oval floorplan and eight quadrangular towers, was built in a gothic style. In its interior, and in a reasonable state of conservation, one can find the old Governor’s House, the prison and other outbuildings, which were transformed into a hostel which was up and running from 1982 to 2008, with 29 housing units (58 beds), a restaurant, a bar and a conference room. These areas, now vacant, have all the necessary conditions for opening an accommodation establishment.

The entire property is for tourist use.
The legal model is that of concession.

Vila Nova de Cerveira
Located on the left bank of the Minho River, on a small hilltop, this Castle stands out from the urban mesh, having wonderful views overlooking both Vila Nova de Cerveira and the river.
